New Era Requires New Working and Learning Styles

This BLOG is about showcasing how people work and learn in the digital age. Teaching and Learning has shifted from its traditional sense because new tools are now being utilized; in other words, the context in which education is taking place now has changed, reflecting the extent to which technology has impacted society.

Teaching and Learning is no longer contained in structured courses and textbooks; instead, teaching and learning is getting more social and networked. Connectedness and connectivity is an emerging and promising way of learning in the digital age... As a result of the impact of web 2.0, which is a collaborative and participatory knowledge construction environment, information flow has become too vast and what is more is that it is changing too quickly.

Therefore, a new model of learning is being ushered in to help learners cope with the huge information influx. The more traditional, structured, hierarchical and rigid model of learning is gradually giving way to a more social, flexible, connected and networked model of learning.

Simply put, Know-how is now being replaced by know-where the information is… This is the way we learn today!
